EUROGATE Container Terminal Hamburg has been honoured in Shanghai as “Best Container Terminal Europe 2014” with the Asian Freight & Supply Chain Award (AFSCA).
Conferred annually, the Award was presented this year for the 28th time. The Award is organised by the newspaper “Cargonews Asia”, Hong Kong, which counts Asian importers and exporters among its core readers.
The paper is also referred to as the “Voice of Asia’s forwarding industry”. With a majority of votes, these readers
rated EUROGATE Container Terminal Hamburg “Best Container Terminal Europe 2014”, according to such criteria as variety of product range, container handling rates per dock crane, efficient turnaround of trucks, timely and adequate investment in new terminal structure to meet future demands and effective IT systems.
Peter Zielinski, Managing Director of EUROGATE Container Terminal Hamburg, who personally accepted the award in Shanghai, said:
