Nissan Motor India, the Indian subsidiary of the Japanese automaker, signed an agreement with the Port of Ennore to handle its car exports from production facilities in the Chennai area.
The 10-year deal calls for Nissan Motor India to ship at least 60,000 cars a year through the port in return for tariff concessions, cargo-handling priority and free parking at Ennore’s automotive facility, which can store up to 10,000 units.
