CKYH Alliance is launching a revamped pendulum service that will link the Mediterranean, Asia and the US from the middle of this month.
The new service combines the existing China Mediterranean Express (CMX) service and Pacific Southwest (PAS) service, deploying a total of 12 containerships.
The port rotation for the new route, named the Mediterranean Asia America Pendulum (MAP) service will be: Port Said, Napoli, La Spezia, Barcelona, Suez, Port Kelang, Singapore, Hong Kong, Yantian, Osaka, Tokyo, Long Beach, Oakland, Tokyo, Osaka, Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Singapore, Suez, returning to Port Said.
The launch of this new pendulum service will provide a direct link from South Korea and Japan to the Mediterranean. MAP is also expected to improve the existing schedule reliability by upgrading the main fleet of 4,000-TEU vessels to ships ranging in size from 4,500-5,500 TEU, a "K" Line statement said.
