THE Italian subsidiary of Taiwan-based liner giant Evergreen, Italia Marittima, has paid Yuan1.65m ($218,000) in compensation following an alleged collision between the 5,652 TEU containership LT Unica and a Chinese fishing boat in January. The trawler capsized and one of its crew members is missing, presumed dead.
