Organized by the Private Sector Federation of Rwanda, the 17th edition of the Rwanda International Trade Show gets underway tomorrow in Kigali's Gikondo Expo Grounds. From July 23 until the August 6, over 330 exhibitors from 15 countries will exhibit their products and showcase their services. Participating countries reach as far as the UAE, Iran, Pakistan, India, Malaysia and Singapore with many more from the African continent. The number of stands, compared to last year, went up due to a rise in demand from around 400 to over 700, reflecting how trade and industry rank the Kigali trade show.
Key organizers remain the PSF Rwanda and the Ministry of Commerce and the main sponsors again include RwandAir, the Rwanda Development Board, all three telecommunications companies Airtel, MTN and TIGO, leading banks and insurance companies, all keen to present themselves to the expected 250.000+ visitors to the showground in their Sunday best.
Regional hotel companies will reportedly also exhibit, aimed at attracting business from fellow East African Community member states and beyond.
