BEIJING, April 10 (Xinhuanet) -- Malaysia welcomes and will facilitate halal businesses around the world to come to invest, Malaysian Secretary of Trade and Industry Mustafa said in Kuala Lumpur on April 10th.
The International Trade & Halal Industry Development Center is established by PKFZ and run by Chinese enterprise, Mustafa said on breakfast meeting of 2014 International Halal Products Exhibition in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. "I hope businesses from all over the world to make full use of this exhibition, improve understanding of halal products, invest in the Development Center and achieve mutual benefit." He added.
Malaysia introduced that Muslim is about 23% of the world's population, considering the increasing demand of non-Islamic market for halal products, the future of halal industry is incredibly bright.
Mustafa held a gracious talk with head of Port Klang International Trade & Halal Industry Development Center Xia Baowen on the breakfast meeting and promised to fully support development of this project.
Taking advantage of PKFZ is signality for successfully developing international market for Chinese enterprises, Xia Baowen said, many Chinese enterprises have a willingness to bring products to global halal market, however, they often face a lot of difficulties because of some restrictions such as the halal certification. The Port Klang International Trade and Halal Industry Development project focuses on solving problems for Chinese enterprises to reach out to the world and businesses around the world are welcomed to enter this center.
The 2014 International Halal Products Exhibition is hosted by Malaysian Ministry of International Trade and Industry and attracts halal enterprises form 26 countries and regions.
Malaysia International Halal Products Exhibition has became the world's largest integrated halal trade exhibition after 10 years of efforts, Mustafa said in the opening address, it provides halal industry all over the world an opportunity to communicate and learn as an one-stop platform. Over 440 international halal enterprises form 43 countries and regions will launch industry exchange and docking activities with Malaysian halal enterprises, he added.
The organizer will hold international halal seminar and World Halal Forum during 2014 International Halal Products Exhibition.
The International Halal Products Exhibition attracts 508 exhibitors from 26 countries and regions include China, Japan, Saudi, ROK, Australia and Malaysia.
Exhibition Products such as halal food, medical supplies, cosmetics, food packs, mechanical equipments and Islamic financial products were exhibited on 620 stands in 6 theme halls.
2014 International Halal Products Exhibition was held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from April 9th to 12th.
