The Suzhou-Manzhouli-European railway freight service recorded an export cargo value of CNY180 million (US$28.8 million) with eight trainloads of exports, reports Xinhua.
The ninth freight train recently pulled out of Suzhou city in eastern Jiangsu province and arrived at Manzhouli rail customs checkpoint after 70 hours.
The 11,200-kilometre Suzhou-Manzhouli-Europe international container railway line, which opened last September, is expected to boost China's trade with Eurasia.
Known as the New Silk Road, the train line starts off from Suzhou West Railway Station, runs through the Manzhouli port in Northern China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and ends at Poland. The whole trip takes 13 days, saving nearly a month's time compared to ocean shipping.
